Music is intended to invoke an emotional response, and at The Song Rep we understand that and are committed to providing only the best to our clients.
We believe the music consumers of today are no longer content with impersonal and time consuming mass music libraries, clients are looking for a more personal touch. The Song Rep works with a vast stable of songwriters, bands and music publishers to source out the best and the brightest. From a country ballad to a stadium rock anthem, instrumental compositions or "sounds like" music, we either have it or will find it for your project.
Our job is to make your experience as simple as possible. We work with a number of songwriters who own 100% of their songs. We also have long standing relationships with established music publishers so we will negotiate, do the paperwork and clear your license within your budget.

VALERIE BIGGIN
Music Supervisor & founder of The Song Rep
Valerie Biggin is a Music Business veteran with over 25 years experience in recording, orchestral score co ordination, licensing and music supervision. Still very active in the local Music community you will find her either at the studio or in a club listening to the newest, latest and greatest - Music is her passion!
Valerie started her career as an aspiring recording engineer but ended up as the President/Studio Manager for Mushroom Studios in Vancouver for over 13 years. With additional stints at SOCAN, AMERICAN FEDERATION OF MUSICIANS and Business Instructor (Sound Design Dept.) at the Vancouver Film School, Valerie’s passion and knowledge of Music and it’s business was firmly established and respected.
In late 2009, Valerie opened The Song Rep... a music placement agency who, in a very short time, has placed music in MTV, MTV Canada, FOX Sports and Slice Networks, Hallmark, A&E, Netflix, and even independent films. Along with orchestral coordination while at Mushroom for major film and TV projects, it was only a matter of time before the natural progression to Music Supervision became the focus of The Song Rep.

Siân O'ByrnE
Music Supervisor
Sian O’Byrne’s passion for music and the entertainment industry started early, leading to her graduation from the Arts and Entertainment Management program at Capilano University, which put her in the right path with invaluable experience at her internships with The Song Rep and Nettwerk Music Group.
After graduation, Sian continued to work with The Song Rep, and a few months later with Nettwerk Music Group as well. Involved in both music publishing and label duties, Sian received a well-rounded understanding of the music industry from Nettwerk, while in turn applying her knowledge to The Song Rep. She later left the Music admin world behind to pursue her passion for Music Supervision exclusively.
Over the years Sian has developed both Music Coordinator and Music Supervisor experience from various film and television projects, and developed outstanding relationships with professionals in both the music and film and television industries.
